Why is our washing machine/dryer staining our clothes with grease?

I've been washing clothes and getting ready for school lately, but every time I take my clothes out of the dryer they're coated in Grease stains. Little dot shaped grease stains splattered all over, the machines have never done this before. Can you tell me what is wrong, how to fix it, and if it has anything at all to do with a container of chap stick that got washed and dried recently? Why is our washing machine/dryer staining our clothes with grease?
I had the exact problem with the grease. I don't think it is from the chapstick. My washer was old and not only did I get grease spots on my clothes but I got rust spots also. I tried cleaning it with bleach and all kinds of products but it did not help. I bought a new machine and the grease and rust are gone. Why is our washing machine/dryer staining our clothes with grease?
get some really hot water and bleach

clean the **** out of the inside of both

the washer take the spinner apart it comes off

just dont break it

the dryer make sure to clean the lent screen

with hot water to after that

rinse it with the hottest water you can stand

let the washer go threw a few washes with hot water a bleach too. that will help if not eliminate your problem
it probally from the chap stick... must be in the machine still.. try to clean it out if you can... or wash some things like towels that you dont care about so it will clean itself out of the machine..
Try running the washing machine on hot with half a cup of bleach and soap powder with nothing in it but that. For the dryer try cleaning it out with a really good household cleaner like an all purpose cleaner with something specifically made to clean stuck on grease. As for the stains a good stain remover like spray and wash should take care of it. Good Luck.
I had this problem recently i found it wasnt my dryer but my washing machine. You need to call an engineer out to get it fixed, you might find its something to do with the door seal/bearings, i cant exactly remember what it was. dont know how much is costs to get it fixed either as mine had an extended warrenty.

Hope this helps
Maybe it's broken.Call a a person who can fix washing machines.Or maybe the machine is dirty and needs cleaning.
You 'hit the nail on the head' for the 'source' of your grease stains ... you may have to ask your parents to call a 'repair man' to see if s/he knows how to get that 'greasy oil' our of your machines ... also to make them 'aware' that you 'screwed up bigtime' and washed the 'chap stick.' After this 'double check' your pockets before you wash and dry your clothes.
I think you may have some bad slides...the drum that the clothes tumble in is driven on one end and on the door end are two or three inexpensive slides. It could have something to do with the chap stick especially if it melted and soaked up into the pads the tumbler glides on. If you wipe out the dryer when hot and the grease comes back that may be it. I called my friend the Maytag Repairman and he ordered some up pronto...here's a link about the part I'm referring to. Other brands also have slides, or glides...
you answered your own question .The chap stick has mineral oil and wax in it so you washed it than dried it and the wax and mineral oil have melted into your dryer and each time you launder things it spreads it all over your clothes
it probly was the chapstick . it will have washed out the washing machine by now so must be in the dryer . put some old towels or sheets in it and put it on hot for a long time . keep repeating till its all melted away and you have clean stuff coming out . might work , if not you will have to fess up and get it mended . good luck . ps , empty the dust trap each time in case it gets in there
