My clothes are coming out of the wash with a brown skidmark looking stain on them....any ideas?

I'm going crazy. I can't tell you how many of my white clothes have been ruined. It's an identical mark on many of my clothes. I think it's the washer. It's been going on for months. So I turn my whites inside out, but sometimes the turn themselves back in the dryer...and another shirt is ruined. My clothes are coming out of the wash with a brown skidmark looking stain on them....any ideas?
Someone is pooping in your washer. Put a lock on it.My clothes are coming out of the wash with a brown skidmark looking stain on them....any ideas?
you got dirt inside the agitator you need to take it apart and find what ever it is inside or under the rim of the washer.

Skidmark could also be a good reason to use TP
The answer about iron being in the water is good. When they flush the water system in my area, our water sometimes turns brown and if we wash clothes in that water, they will be stained brown. The city will always let us know when they plan to do this, so that we don't do our laundry and we run all the brown water out of our household pipes. So get your water source checked.
You can try running the washer with no clothes in it but, a good amount of bleach and powder detergent!
Hi, have your water tested for high amounts of iron. If you have high iron in your water it will make brown or rust colored skid-marks on your clothes. If your water is high in iron you should get a water filter for iron.
